Prodeck 8 and Prodeck 4 Composite Decking

Bedford Reinforced Plastics, Inc. entered into the composite bridge market in 1999 by developing two composite deck profiles, the Prodeck 4 and the Prodeck 8. The Prodeck composite decking is allowing bridge owners and bridge engineers to discover the advantages of using the fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) material over conventional decking material. Construction that once took weeks and detoured traffic can now be completed in a matter of days and sometimes hours. By installing the Prodeck composite, it is possible to increase the capacity on many bridges since the composite material is substantially lighter in weight over traditional deck materials.
