MILITARY - When the United States Military identified
deteriorated, warped, and often splintered troop seats in the back
of their 2 1/2 ton troop transport vehicles, they turned to
the only practical alternative. They replaced these wooden fold down
seats with a selection of Fiberglass Reinforced Pultruded systems
manufactured by Bedford Reinforced Plastics, Inc.
 The custom one piece fold up seat section allows troops to enter and
exit the vehicles with little or no obstructions. The radius edges
of the seat and back rest system offer a snag free environment for
military personal to rapidly deploy the vehicle in offensive
situations. Also, the lightweight composite material allows the
military to overall enhance their payload capacity with additional
troops, weapons, and supplies.
