CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE - The terminology "Civil
Infrastructure" covers a vast outline of applications that
includes,
Roads, Highways, Bridges, Ports, Harbors, and Building Systems. Over
the past 15 years, Domestic as well as International Engineering
firms and end users have recognized the benefits of Bedford Reinforced Plastics,
Inc. structural line of products. In addition, the
U.S. Military, as well as the Army Corp of Engineers have also
recognized the benefits our products offer and have designed and
specified them in several applications.
Several of our earliest projects that brought attention to the
public eye was the Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, and
Installation of the 1,856' composite deck and under structure of the
Huntington Beach, CA. Pier. In addition to the West Coast
exposure, Bedford Reinforced Plastics, Inc. indirectly supplied over
1000' of custom colored, custom designed handrail as well as
structural components that make up the 14 flights of stairs and
landings that rise up from beneath the 185' depth of one of the
nation's leading scenic attractions,
Niagara Falls. The
determining factor of selecting Bedford's Pultruded material was
its lower life cycle cost.
